Instead of getting more candy or buying something cute, that you know won’t last the day, to fill in your Easter Basket, why not put a New York State Park in their baskets, a New York State Park Empire Pass that is.

This little card can provide your family with an entire season of fun at most locations operated by the NY State Parks or the New York State Environmental Conservation, which includes, forests, beaches, trails and more. Plus, since it’s a card, grandparents, caregivers, and other family members can also use it.

In honor of the spring holidays, the New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation have extended the sale price until Sunday, April 8. This means that instead of spending $80, you’ll only spend $65. You can still get the card in time for Easter baskets either at your nearest State Park or on-line.

In addition, for those families who get the Empire pass each year, you can also purchase either a multi-year Empire Pass or a lifetime Empire pass. While this pass doesn’t cover camping, golf, or historic site fees, you can purchase gift cards through New York State Parks to help cover those costs.

The more you use the pass, the more money you’ll save. For more information and links to purchase your Empire Pass, click here.
