I Love My Parks Events Throughout the Hudson Valley

Now that the weather is tolearble and we can go enjoy the outdoors, New York State parks and historic sites are looking for your help.

It's that time of year again for the I Love My Parks event throughout New York State. There are over 120 State Parks and Historic sites participating in this years event and, as you know, here in the Hudson Valley we have several. The I Love My Parks event is run by Parks & Trails New York, New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and local Friends groups to bring awareness to the park system and enhance New Yorkers park going experience.

According to PTNY.Org this years event, being held on May 6th 2017, will be the biggest ever and several parks in the area will be participating. Staatsburgh, Minnewaska and Bannerman Island will be having their own events that will include fixing foot paths, trail maintenance and making paths safer for hikers.
